Promotional Answers
Ok, you've worked long and hard to get some really good
cuts done and you've decided to release a CD. You want to
"go for" selling 1000 copies at least. Here's some
questions you may have with their answers:
1. What price should I set my CD for?
National artists have a retail price of $18.99, but you
can go to a Best Buy, Wal-Mart or other stores and get
them for about $14, and $10 on the first day of the
release. National companies also have established a
"developing artist" pricing of about $12.99 for new
artists. Your maximum retail price then should be $12.99
for a "full" CD of 14 cuts or so
