Street Teams & Promoters

Street teams promoting your release are just the modern Promotional Representatives.  Street teams tend to deal with club DJs, retail outlets and performance venues.  Label "Promotional Representatives" of decades ago dealt more with radio DJs than club DJs. Today's street teams often deal with alternative retail outlets where PR reps from the past pretty much dealt with music retailers exclusively.  Do you remember when there actually were a lot of "record stores?" 

So Street Teams activities are promotional activities and there are certain basic promotion rules that apply today as much as they did decades ago.
