Contracts, well thought out & well executed are the backbone of "taking care of business" in the music industry. So any attorney will tell you that you need his/her services before you release any music. As a mater of fact, I'll tell you the same thing. The common problem is that attorneys get a lot of money for their work, and even a reasonably priced attorney can cost over a thousand dollars to set you up properly to be in the business. Yet "taking care of business" is a huge key to getting a large record company's help in marketing your music beyond your city limits. |
