Painlessly Entering The Music Business
PART 2 - CHOOSING YOUR HELP!
By Bob Dennis

Introduction

Starting out in the Music Biz can be fairly simple, at the start.  But to succeed we will need to get a functioning team going.  In our last tip, we looked at the kind of team members we will need to work with, as shown in this chart:
     .

Team Members

Business Partners These are the most permanent team members, people who will work side by side with you in music.
Music Partners Also called "Strategic Partners," there are people you work with on one or several projects but are not committed exclusively to your success in business.
Family, Friends & Fans The "Three F's" - this is probably the most important resource you have.  These are people that help you just because they like or love you.
Professional Advisors & Representatives Individuals like lawyers, accountants, tax advisors, managers and agents would all fit into this category.
