Making Money In Music Pt 2
WHEN YOU MAKE THE MONEY
By Bob Dennis

An Old Saying Needs Modification

If you are already an adult, you have probably heard the old saying, It takes money to make money. When a large corporation opens a chain of coffee shops its done with dollars that buys and equips the shops.  It invests lots of dollars into advertising, has the business and operational plans all worked out, because they have the money to start up the activity.  An individual opening one coffee shop would also have to fund those same items for that one shop.  When you added up the costs that would have to be covered before making the first dollar, one could find it to be a substantial amount of dollars.  Well, It takes money to make money, right?
Last tip I told you the story of Barney Perkins making a bit of money by coming up with a song idea of Gonna Put It In The Want Ads.  For Barney, and for many people in the business, it doesn't necessarily take money to make money in the music business. What does it take?
