AFFECTING FREE REGISTERED USERS & ONLINE STUDENTS

Dear registered user:

As a Recording Engineer's Quarterly registered user and/or a RID Online student receiving free training, you have had access to a wealth of tips and articles on music recording for over 7 years. To get comprehensive continuous training, you simply need to read the "Recording Website" tip of the week at REQ and then take the monthly tip quiz online. In addition to the articles released in our twice quarterly "issue," This weekly study of recording is a FREE service given to registered users. It's a community service to the recording industry. This service will not change.

For the past 10 months you have also had access to past tips in two other series. The Developing Artist Production weekly tip outlines production, mixing and mastering tip articles. The Inside The Music Biz weekly series gives advice in the business aspect of the field, thing like copyright, publishing, record deals, etc. These tips are actual online LESSONS in these subjects and are lessons that you will see used in study modules for paid RID students (both online and campus). This is the service that is changing.

Starting immediately, DAP and Music Biz tips will only be available to the general public for 30 days. After the 30 days they will be readable only by paid subscribers and students. Our paid online training is second to none in the industry and we have a 99.5% highly satisfied rating among our paid subscribers. This unique training service costs less than $10 a month for the first year and then goes down to under $5.00 a month. The amount of material you have access to is simply mind-boggling. So you can still study with us for free if you access the site once a month, but if you want to have full access to the hundreds of archived lessons and extensive study modules, you will need to become a paid subscriber.

The index of all tip of the week series is at the following links. Once you get to the index, hold your mouse over the article title to see a description of the article.
