GETTING BACK ON THE ROAD

Getting Started In  Music

Last tip I explained why many people want to making music - at least part time.  Music, that thing that soothes and moves you can have a bigger impact on you if you help create it. The creation of satisfying music often is best done with others that have a similar drive and complimentary talents. I finally explained that the best kind of place that you would go to meet others to work with would be school having to do with music or production. The entire last tip can be read by clicking here.

In this tip, I'm going to give you an example of how networking at a Recording Institute (RID) has resulted in a team effort that is allowing me to "get back" on the road in creating music.  I'm going to talk about a Newland-Dennis writing team creating a tune called "Coming Back."  The "story" of this creation is the feature subject of our new issue of Recording Engineer's Quarterly. The story of forming the team is here.
