5/7/2004:  When you go into a studio do a session, the producer should be going into an environment that is conducive to creativity.  The engineer on the session needs to provide it and the producer needs to demand it. When this happens every can "get paid"  -ed.

     As I said last week, much of the creativity put into a tune comes during the session. An environment that allows for creativity yields good results; an environment that inhibits creativity yields poor results.  As we discussed last tip the engineer should anticipate and set things up for the next step in advance as much as possible.
