Instantly I was captured. Muruga’s thoughts on music really help
open my eyes even more. He helped me to feel the reason why I’m
here at R.I.D. His spirit is really strong for music and I was able
to feel it. Muruga explained in his own words about the passion I
have always felt about music. I’m thankful for his inspiring words
on this subject. This helps me reassure I’m where I’m supposed to

Muruga is excellent in explaining the ins and outs of the percussion
section of a song.

MURUGA SEMINAR
Wow! I really like this guy. I really hope that I’m still that
inspired when I reach 60. Just Awesome! I love how he focused on
the emotion and expression in music and how it relates to and
directly affects the technical aspect of it. How they come
together. I’ve gotta talk to this guy more. I really like what he
said about drum machines, using his extensive knowledge about
drumming to program creative and expressive forms instead of using
it as a crutch.

Thank you for inviting Muruga to participate in the class! His
visit provided myself and others with inspirational views and the
RID staff displays a professional atmosphere at all times.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Muruga: He's passionate, experienced and opened minded. I
respected his openness and enjoyed the input in the class and the
session. Muruga did not rush the project...displaying patience. At
the end of the evening his energy was still going. I can tell he
loves music.

This class is very informative. Packed with information. It
provides a little of everything! It does not just focus on one
particular subject. The instructors don't mind re-hashing the
lessons so that students fully understand.
