Primer Articles

Millions of measures of music are produced annually in home and project studios.  These "music tracks" are then used as a basis for a finished local, regional or national music releases.  Recording Institute of Detroit has compiled a series of "primer" articles that explain the recording, production and test marketing of a music release in a nutshell.  For each primer article there are several Recording Engineer's Quarterly tip archives that further explain the techniques recommended in the primer articles.  Study of this series equips the home project engineer with the tools necessary to produce a successful music track.
