Together We Will Heal This image was created in honor of those Native Americans who selflessly put aside their annual protests, in light of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The red and white stripes show a tightly knit Native American tapestry, representing the foundation this country was built on, against the blue skies of freedom. An angry eagle, looks on, as a tear is shed for every state, upon a chaotic backdrop. Hanging from the a purple heart ribbon, is a medicine wheel (for healing). |
| The Medicine Wheel is a sacred circle, containing four equal lines pointing from the center to the spirits of the north, east, south, and west -- or to the basic element: earth, water, air (or wind), and fire. In Native American traditions, it plays a vital part in major spiritual rituals. Other churches have used variations of the same popular shape, usually calling it the Celtic Cross. |
