| Lesson 25: bookmarking a Site | ||||

Some sites have difficult URLs to remember. For instance, to search for New York immigration records, the URL would be www.ellisislandrecords.org as opposed to www.ellisisland.com. www.ellisisland.com would take you to a museum, which is not affiliated with Ellis Island Records. To make it easier to keep track of your interests, you can bookmark a particular page, within a site, even if it is within a frame. |

| 1. Open the page you want to add, and click the heart in the upper right corner of the window. | ||||

||||

2. The following box will appear, giving you three choices. "Add to Favorites" will save the file as a favorite place |

| 2a. "Insert in Instant Message" will open up a blank dialog box, containing the link to the page. | ||||
|
|
||||
| 2b. "Insert in Mail" will open up a blank e-mail, containing the link to the page. | ||||
|
|
||||
| 3. To locate a previously saved favorite page, click on My Favorites button on your toolbar. | ||||
|
|
||||
| 4. Enlarge the window by grabbing the lower right corner of the window. | ||||
|
|
||||
| 5. Double click the desired page to open it. | ||||
