| Lesson 19: Creating a Simple AOL Home Page: | |||||||||

You don't have to be a master web designer to create an AOL home page. In 10 easy steps, you can create a simple page, using one of the 1-2-3 Publish templates.

| 1. Go to hometown. | |||||||||
|

|||||||||
| 2. Choose one of AOL's templates by clicking on 100 more templates and selecting which template you would like to use. For this lesson, we will be using the Web Profile template. | |||||||||

| 3. Select a background color for the home page. | |||||||||
|
|
|||||||||
|

|||||||||
| 4. Select a picture to use on your page. If you do not like any of the pictures you see, click No Image. | |||||||||
|

|||||||||
| 5. Enter a title for your page. For this lesson, I have used "Loony Tunes" (The name of a fictional band) | |||||||||
| 6. You can add a picture from your computer by clicking the Browse button, and using the drop down menu to locate the picture. | |||||||||
|

|||||||||
| 6. Select an appropriate style to use as a section divider. If you don't like any of the selections, choose No Divider. | |||||||||
|
|
|||||||||
| 7. Decide what sections you would like to include. Give each section a title, and enter the information you want included in that section in the next box. | |||||||||
|
|
|||||||||
| 8. Type in the names of three sites that would be appropriate to link to from this page, and the corresponding URL (web address) for each link. | |||||||||
|

| 9. Select the AOL options to be included on the page. | |||||||||
|
|||||||||
|
|
|||||||||
| 10. Click SAVE MY PAGE to save it in AOL Hometown. | |||||||||
|
