AOL offers its members free file space, for things you might want to put on your home page.  This lesson will take you through the steps of uploading files (like MP3, AVI, ZIP or GED files), so users can listen to, view, or download from your home page.

1. Go to My FTP.

2. Click on the link that says See My FTP Space.

3. Make sure myhomepage is selected, and click on the button that says Open.

4. Click on the Upload button.

5. Type in the name of the file you wish to upload from your computer, and select Binary (programs and graphics), and click Continue.

6. Click the Select File button.

7. Use the drop down menu to go to the file for uploading.

8. Select the file for uploading, and click Open.

9. The file to be uploaded, along with its path, should now appear in the File Box.  Click the Send button, and the upload will begin.
