Since this lesson has several sub lessons, I have created hot spots on this image.  Click on the link that corresponds to the desired lesson, and you will be taken to that lesson.

Organization

Filing Cabinet:
Store and organize your e-mail by setting up your Personal Filing Cabinet (PFC).  To make sure to retain all of your e-mail, make sure the bottom two boxes are checked before clicking SAVE.

Toolbar and Sound:

Customize the navigation bar at the top of AOL to suit your preferences.  From this link, you can toggle the AOL navigation bar to Text only or Icons and Text, and where the navigation bar is to be displayed.  You can also use this link to fine tune your AOL to clear the history trail each time you sign off or switch screen names.

The TEXT ONLY navigation bar would appear without the picture buttons.

Some users have found that the AOL Media Player is not compatible with their systems.  Fear not, because the default media player can be changed through this option.
