Lesson 13: Customizing Screen Names		One Step Lesson

1. Go to keyword: Parental Controls
2. Click on the screen name to be changed.


3. Click on the button that says "Edit Age Category".


4. Select an appropriate age group for the person using the selected screen name..
5. Click Save.


The default settings are as follows:


6. Click on the More Options drop down menu and select Additional Master.


7. This is the screen that allows you to designate Master Screen Name status. If you would like to give the selected screen name Master status, click the box.


8. Select Download Control, in the More Options drop-down menu.


9. By selecting the boxes, you are opting to block the ability to download these items.
10. Click Save.


11. Select Newsgroup Control from the More Options drop-down menu.


12. Select the items you do not want this screen name to be able to access.
13. Click Save.


14. Select Premium Services Control from the More Options drop-down menu.


15. Check the Block Premium Services box if you do not want this screen name to access games that charge per minute or any of the paid AOL Anywhere subscriptions.
16. Click Save.


17. To adjust the Web Browsing, Instant Messaging, E-mail or Chat controls, click the appropriate button.
18. Click the Edit Time Online button to set time limits for this screen name.
19. Click OK to complete the process.

Adjusts the default settings for particular age groups.
Simply select the appropriate age group for the screen name and click SAVE.

Instant Messaging Control	One Step Lesson
For business purposes, you may or may not want to give others the opportunity to sent instant messages to this screen name.
If you would like to block Instant Messages, simply click the box for blocking Instant Messages, and click SAVE.

Control how much Access this screen name has to chat rooms.
