| Lesson 3: Navigating Through File Folders |
| I felt it was important, before going into downloads, to cover navigation. There are many ways of navigating through your file folders. This method will allow you to learn the power of the drop down menu options. This is the most frequently used method of navigation, especially when downloading. |
| 1. Double click on the My Documents icon on your desktop. |
| 2. Click on the arrow that controls the Address drop down menu and select Drive C. |
| 3. Scroll up and down to see what folders are on your hard drive. |
| 4. Double click on your America Online folder. |
| 5. Double click on the download folder. You are now in the folder that is the default destination folder for AOL downloads. |
| 6. Once again, if you click the down arrow for the Address drop down menu, you will see exactly what folder you are looking in. |
Note: If you have inadvertently opened the wrong folder, you may click either of these two buttons to back up one level. |
