FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Below are questions that are asked commonly about the Audio Specialist module. If your question is not answered here, please click this link to get help.
Q: How come I haven't gotten access to the next level?

A: Access is granted to the next level of Audio Specialist in 7-14 days time after:

  • The student is registered at www.alexandermagazine.com or www.recordingeq.com for free training (student who have paid for online training have automatic access to this and more advanced materials).

  • The student has completed the study of the level.

  • The student has taken and passed with a minimum of 70% the test for the level studied at the TESTING CENTER.

  • The student has completed the FEEDBACK FORM for the level.

If these requirements have been fulfilled and you still have not received access to the next level within 14 days, email the instructor directly by filling out this form.
Q: I have completed the final exam. Why haven't I received a Certificate?
A: The certificate is considered one more level. See the question above.
Q: Why doesn't my ST number username work at the testing center?

A: You must register at the TESTING CENTER separately and supply the username (your ST number preferably) and password.

Q: I registered separately for the Testing Center. Why doesn't my testing center username and password work?

A: When advancement is being administered, the online instructor changes all usernames for people who have taken the Audio Specialist Quiz 1 to their ST number as assigned when they registered at www.alexandermagazine.com or www.recordingeq.com. He does not change the password, and indeed cannot see the password. Any password that the online student used when he first signed up at the testing center is still valid EVEN IF THE USERNAME HAS CHANGED. If you are assigned a password by the site or its administrative personnel, it will be the same as your username.

Q: I was emailed that I have access to the next level. Why doesn't my username and password work on the next level of the study module?

A: In rare cases the online instructor makes a mistake and doesn't do all steps to advance a person. Email the instructor directly by filling out this form.
Q: I completed the Audio Specialist and have my certificate. What do I do next?

A: The Audio Specialist would normally be followed by the Pro Audio Specialist, a paid service. To register for such services go here. If you do not wish to go on to a paid service, you may still avail yourself of any materials that are available to any registered user.
Q: I studied the Audio Specialist and it didn't answer my questions. What do I do?

A: Specific question may be answered at The Recording Website, which is our online forum. However, the Audio Specialist is only intended as a very basic introduction. If you wish more advanced training, you must move on to the Pro Audio Specialist.
